How Does The Pellet Cooler Work?
After the pellets to be cooled enter the cooler, they are evenly stacked in the cooling box through the rotating cone bulker. The cold air slides in from the bottom of the cooling box, and enters the cooler from all directions at the bottom of the discharging mechanism and the top of the collecting hopper, passes through the material layer to exchange heat with the wet and hot pellets, and then is sucked out through the suction system so that the pellets can be cooled.
The counterflow cooler we produce is widely used in feed mills due to its advantages of high automation, small footprint, small air suction volume and low power consumption.

Precautions For Using The Pellet Cooler
RICHI counterflow cooler is mainly composed of closed air feeder, bulk material feeder, cooling bin, unloading device and other components. During use, you need to pay attention to the following aspects so that the cooler can operate in an efficient and economical state.
01 Airflow status
If the scale of feed production isFor counterflow coolers, the most important airflow parameters are: air volume, air pressure and air speed. The heat and moisture in the pellet feed are taken away by the air medium, and sufficient air volume can ensure the output of the counterflow cooler.
Therefore, it is very important to determine a reasonable wind speed range during cooling; in addition, controlling the wind speed can effectively avoid the formation of “wind tunnels” on the material bed, prevent air flow short circuits, and affect the cooling effect.
02 Discharge opening area
The maximum output of a certain type of countercurrent cooler can be determined by considering the cooling air volume and maximum wind speed per unit pellet feed. Therefore, in order to obtain higher output, the cooling air volume should be increased, and at the same time, the discharge system area should be increased accordingly.
03 Prevent arching and caking
The higher the output, the greater the air volume required. For counterflow coolers, this means an increase in the probability of arching and agglomeration. If a counterflow cooler with a higher output is to be obtained, its unloading device must meet certain requirements, that is, it can still discharge evenly and reliably under the premise of the larger air volume and higher air pressure required for increased output.
When discharging, one end of the flap is lifted up to break the arch, thereby effectively preventing the arch and agglomeration that may occur in the sliding gate discharging mechanism.
